Dinner Rolls

1 packet of active dry yeast
·
1-1/2 Cups warm water
·
½ tablespoon salt
·
1-1/2 tablespoon white sugar
·
1-1/2 tablespoon butter, softened
·
3-1/4 Cups of bread flour
·
Oil
·
Cooking spray
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water.
Stir in butter, salt and flour (one cup at a time).
Knead dough until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
Lightly oil the dough in a large bowl. Cover with a damp
cloth and let the dough double in size (usually takes an hour).
Grease a small pan with cooking spray.
Once dough has raised, pull apart pieces of the dough, (knead
each for 2 minutes) and forming them into small balls, slightly larger than a
golf ball. Coat each ball in oil, then place them in the greased pan. Let rise
for another half hour or so with a damp cloth covering the pan. Preheat oven to
400-F.
Reduce heat to 375-F and put the pan in the oven. Bake
for 20-25 minutes. Rolls will be golden brown.
